First day of First Grade

Janae is getting ready to go to first grade! She lost her 8th tooth last night and was very excited to tell everyone at school today. She chose her outfit and wanted to have a barret in her hair (not a pony tail!) Her teacher is Mrs. Peterson and she is a little nervous because none of her other classmates from Mrs. Hanfords class are in there (that we know of). I think she'll do great and make a lot of new friends. It was raining terribly hard outside so it looks like it will be indoor recess the first day of school! I love my Janae!!

Cast Off

James broke his leg on the trampoline on June 11, 2011. He got his cast off July 20 by Dr. Erickson! He was prepared for his leg to be stinky and small! Recovery has taken a while but he is almost back on track! Yesterday he rode his bike more than 2 miles and did just fine. He is back to running (with a skip every now and then) and jumping for the most part!

Swings and Soccer

My camera isn't very good at action shots! Most of my pictures were too blurry to see. Janae was on the Pink Butterflies team this year. She had a good time. Jacey also enjoyed her first time on a swing at the park!

Our Pretty Girls!

Jacey is such a Daddy's Girl. She just loves her daddy. Even if she only catches a glimpse of him she wants to go and see him. The other picture is of her on the mats at church.

Our pretty girls all dressed up! It was Janae's idea to have a photo shoot! Mom never turns down an opportunity for pictures! As you can see, the only way Jacey would cooperate was to have her toothbrush!

Independence Mine

We went up to Hatcher's Pass with our good friends Heather and Tyler. We all hiked and toured around Independence Mine. It was sooo sunny in Wasilla but a little foggy up at the mine! The kids enjoyed playing "miners" in the water tunnel and having a picnic lunch!

Fun on the Farm

Janae missed her first school bus ride and field trip at the end of school due to illness. So we went to the "farm" with some of our good friends. It was a great time!!

They enjoyed a field day the last day of school. The BEST part about it was that James got to stay with Janae all by himself for the last hour and a half! They both th0ught that was pretty neat!
